The Rules

General

Group starts around 10-11pm EST and members are informed if a RP's happening via Skype.
This is a clean RP, meaning that sex will fade to black and smut-based profiles are not allowed. Violence and gore can be written in explicit detail.
Fancy profiles aren't necessary to join—standard coding is fine!
Inactivity: You will lose your slot on the roster if you're inactive for 30 days. OOC doesn't count as activity, nor does logging your account on just to keep it active. Only IC counts as activity. If someone doesn't come online for a RP session the RP will continue without them and it's up to them to catch up on the logs.
Version: All canons and originals must adhere to either the Sailor Moon anime or manga, whether it's the 1990s version or Sailor Moon Crystal for their portrayal and histories. Other versions of Sailor Moon (e.g. PGSM, Sera Myu, SM: Another Story) aren't canon to us but canons introduced in those series can be adapted if their player can fit them into the anime or manga version. It must be emphasized that we won't allow duplicates just because they had a different version in another series.

Posting Length: This is a para to multi-paragraph group, sometimes reaching novella length. You must be comfortable with this and be comfortable writing this sort of post length when joining. One-liners are unacceptable here.
Style: Third person, past tense.
IC actions will have IC consequences and no character is exempt from this rule.
ABSOLUTELY NO meta-gaming, auto-killing, god-moding or power-playing.

Applies to canons and original characters.

Crossovers (e.g. from other series or characters not designed for the Sailor Moon universe)
Clones (e.g. characters based on characters from other series or Sailor Moon canons)
Genderbents of canon characters
Characters coming from AU timelines and by extension, time travelers (some are approved on a case-by-case basis)
Rape victims.
Joke characters.

If you're not joining as a canon, skip this section.

Canons don't have an application. You must however PM a staff member and inform them that you're interested in the group beforehand. Canons are first come, first served and the first person to post IC as that canon gets them regardless of whether or not someone else expressed interest in them.
Canons aren't considered taken until their player has participated in three RP sessions. They will be listed as "probation" on the roster during the meantime and nobody else can ask to play that canon until 14 days have passed with no activity.
Japanese names are required! We don't want to see names like "Serena", "Rini" or "Lita" in the room if you're playing a canon! Original characters and reincarnated characters (e.g. the Shitennou) are exempt from this rule on the account that they can have a reborn persona.
Deceased canons can be played regardless of their faction, provided that a plausible reason for their resurrection/reincarnation has been created. This reason must be specified in your character's profile before you can begin playing and it must be approved by the staff. Within reason everything about their new life will be up to you provided that you don't stray too far from their original character design. The length of the character's profile doesn't matter so long as we know what we're working with!

If you're not joining as an original character, skip this section.

Original Characters have a mandatory application that must be approved by staff before they can begin playing. You must include information on their forms (e.g. civilian, Sailor Senshi) species, history, and attacks (if applicable). Additional attacks can be added overtime, but we must have some sort of basis for your character's power. This profile must be on RPC (preferred) or a website linked to your RPC profile.
Otaku Senshi, knights, beings with powers are allowed. All Otaku Senshi must be female. Knights can be of any gender, but you must contact Kenshi Aino/Death Phantom before applying for a knight. There won't be a Sailor Earth in this game as that title canonically belongs to Mamoru. All characters must be designed for the Sailor Moon universe! We do not permit crossovers!
Original characters with canon family relations are not allowed. Exceptions are given if:

The canon's being played and they agree to having children.
The player finds someone to play the canon who agrees to having children and this person remains active.
The player intends on playing both the canon and OC actively. If we notice that there is little canon activity if you choose this route, the admins will give you a warning.
The OC in question was related to the canon in the past Silver Millennium, e.g. they were their mother or father or relative. If the canon affected is currently being played discuss it with them. They cannot be related to the character's present day self.

Applies to canons and original characters.

Realm of influence: Stick to your character's realm of influence, e.g. pureblood water Mercurial shouldn't be wielding Martian fire powers if they have no parents from the planet and vice versa. The same goes for characters from other "realms" that aren't the Milky Way. Non-Milky Way natives cannot wield Milky Way planetary power as the realm was designed in order to prohibit that. However, they can wield their own version of those powers, e.g. it's still possible for a foreigner to wield fire power but they wouldn't be able to wield the Martian version of it. Some exceptions to this rule apply, e.g. the character is an Outer Being (ask Kenshi Aino before creating an Outer Being).
Attacks: Attacks aren't moderated and players can create as many attacks as they desire, including canons. In the event of an overpowered character communicate with their player about it or address the situation to the admins.
