Frequently Asked Questions

Are PM RPs canon?

Unfortunately, we don't consider anything that people do in IMs/PMs to be canon to us, therefore if you choose to continue off with another player on your own, it won't be canon. All RPs must be done with the group.

So does this mean that since you don't ask for our age we can still join if we're underage?

No. We simply choose to give our members the benefit of the doubt, but understand that we do this for your own safety due to the nature of RPC's other chat rooms. While our group is clean, other chats aren't, and we're not willing to deal with drama on that end. If we discover that you are underage we will ask you to leave.

Why not just have an application template instead of dealing with your joining process?

Because an application template doesn't guarantee that someone's going to maintain activity. At least with our joining process, it allows us to see how interested and active someone is. It also allows them to have multiple opportunities to show how they portray their character (if they're playing a canon), which an application template + writing sample requirement wouldn't provide.

We've also had several complaints when we did have an application template from those joining through Role Play Chat, which is our primary source for gathering members. Most groups that function on Role Play Chat don't require an application to be filled out before playing, therefore we've decided to adhere to the common expectations.

Why do staff members repeatedly tell me to read over the site?

Would you join a long-term game blindly without knowing what you're joining? Our game isn't like other Sailor Moon games and people assume that we're present-day and that it's safe to not read information. We're very heavily sci-fi influenced and we're set in Crystal Tokyo. Our game deals with a lot of war and politics. Even our Imperial Knights aren't as you might assume Sailor Moon knights would be. Due to this if you don't read over the site in entirety (with the exception of logs), you won't understand our concept.

How come 'short' posts, e.g. one-lining or semis are unacceptable?

Our players have a preference for para to multi-paragraph posters. In our previous game incarnation, we experienced newbie issues who were intimidated by lengthy posts. Due to this we absolutely require that you are capable of posting at least a paragraph minimum or multiple paragraphs and aren't intimidated by post length.

Please note that we understand that sometimes posting a paragraph might not be possible. However, we want you to understand that although we might let a short post (e.g. a semi) slide at times, we don't want this to be the norm from you.

I recognize some of the members from another RPC Sailor Moon group. Is this the same group?

No. We actually reset our game April 2015 due to player departures but some players remained. It's safe to assume that this is a new group with a different storyline and mechanics. Something's have even been simplified.

How do I apply for a canon?

Our canons are treated differently than original characters and have specific guidelines mentioned in our rules. As long as you adhere to those guidelines, the canon may eventually come yours after their probation period.

How do I apply for an original character?

We have specific guidelines mentioned in our rules for original characters.

How come there isn't a list of original characters?

We have tons of original characters in play and due to this we won't list them all on this site.

Do I have to read all the logs before joining?

No. We operate on the rule of thumb that if your character hasn't been played before (if playing a canon or original) or has been absent (if they've been played before), we recommend having a reason for them to not have been around. That way you can jump in immediately without your character knowing what's going on and your character (if you have them ask IC) can be briefed.

Character-based

Can I create an OC who's from a Solar System planet, e.g. Mars?

Absolutely! We encourage players to create characters from other planets.

Can my Otaku Senshi be from one of the Solar System planets?

Sure, just understand that they'd be expected to take orders from the ruling planetary senshi, e.g. if they're a senshi from Venus, they'd take orders from Sailor Venus.
